AirCar is a flying car that has received an airworthiness certificate.

Klein Vision is a developer of innovative technology, including in the field of aviation structure of aircraft. The company is headed by Stefan Klein, an inventor, test pilot who has devoted more than 40 years to the development of aircraft structures.

The predecessor of the AirCar model was AeroMobil, which appeared in the project back in 1989. The start of the development of AirCar began in 2016 and after 3 years, the aircar made its first test flight.

Outwardly, the car looks like a sports car, is designed to carry two people and has a transforming design that can fold and unfold the wings, as well as the tail, in less than 3 minutes. An important feature is the fact that the process takes place automatically after launch, does not require manual assistance from the pilot, and most importantly, there is no need to leave the car during the unfolding or folding of the wings. An innovative, extremely user-friendly design feature, unlike the Icon A5 where you have to manually deploy the wings after leaving the cab.

If we talk about technical characteristics, then at this stage the machine flies no worse than the average helicopter, has excellent flight characteristics, thanks to composite lightweight materials and the structure of the supporting structure. The car after the modification will be able to take on board more passengers, as well as the option of an amphibious car and the installation of a second engine. Installing a more powerful or second engine increases the safety of the device. It is important to note that a ballistic parachute is already installed on the test model, and this is already important.

Flight time 35 hours, including 200 takeoffs and landings. The car flew from Nitra Airport in Slovakia to Bratislava, and then drove on its own, without any problems, like a normal car.

It drives the car, both on the ground and in the air, with a 1.6-liter internal combustion engine with a capacity of 140 horsepower. The takeoff speed is 115 km/h, and during the flight it reaches 180 km/h, on a par with flying a Robinson 44 helicopter. The developers plan to install a new engine, which will allow speeds up to 300 km/h and the estimated flight range will increase to 1000 km .

It is necessary to wait for the test results, this may take approximately 12 months and will receive new technical capabilities of the aircraft. In the case of expected successful results, the flying car will be able to go into mass production and make a colossal breakthrough in the global automobile and aircraft industry.
